Christmas with Stylist Angela Scanlon

Angela Scanlon, savvy stylist, broadcaster, fashion writer and faaaabulous blogger is one person who simply can’t wait for the Christmas break. We caught up with her to find out why!

Q: Are you looking forward to Christmas this year and what are your plans like?
A: Yes - I'm off home to Meath to spend Christmas with my family. Lots of mulled wine, great food & hanging out with my sisters. My birthday falls between Christmas & New Year so it's pretty relentless! I'm then off to Cork for New Years to celebrate with my boyf & friends.

Q: What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
A: Work is always so crazy for me that I look forward to turning off my phone and laptop and just chilling out. No deadlines, just peace! I'm taking almost 2 weeks off so will have plenty of time to catch up with all my friends & family. I just love the general social chaos that Christmas brings!!

Q: If you could have any one person in the world at your Christmas Dinner table who would it be and why?
A: Karl Lagerfeld. I think himself & my Dad would get on very well!

Q: What one thing is top of your Christmas stocking wish list right now?
A: Blow by Blow-biography on Isabella Blows life.

Q: Favourite Christmas song?
A: Fairytale in New York, The Pogues. It's not overplayed in shops so it still feels special...

Q: Least favourite thing about the Festive Season?
A: The sadness that so many people feel amidst the hype.

Q: Who from the world of celeb-dom would you love to bump into under the mistletoe this Christmas?
A: Jeff Bridges. If nothing else we'd have a good throaty laugh!

Q: What would your Christmas Message be to the people of Ireland right now?
A:  Enjoy the little things. It's not about how much you spend, being surrounded by people you love is priceless.
