Percy's Catwalk Debut (Yes, Percy.... the Pig)
No it isn't a dig at the size zero debacle and it's not Miss Piggy's fashion debut... it's good old Percy Pig - the nations favourite sweet - turning a few heads (including his own lol) on the catwalk at the opening of this year’s London Fashion Week. The stylish pig was doing his runway walk to celebrate the launch of the new Reversy Percy - this year's Spring/Summer must-have sweetie, which is launching in March, and looks set to be a big hit among Percy lovers. Percy's actually no stranger to the fashion pages: the launch of Percy Piglets made it into Vogue's Top 40 Hotlist of 2008 (at number 11!).
Percy makers said "Customers have told us they like to nibble Percy’s yummy jelly ears first…so we've reversed him round to give fans more of their favourite bits. The gums are still in three flavours - quite pink, properly pink and extremely pink, and he's still completely NAFNAC – (with no artificial flavours or colours).
Percy Pig is exclusive to M&S and has now reached iconic status - he has his own Percy Pig Appreciation Society, over 200,000 members on Facebook, and over 1 and a half million Percy Pigs are eaten a week!
