Two Seperate World Record Attempts
Every fancied partaking in a World Record Breaking Attempt? Well you have two worthy chances coming up real soon! Here are the details of both events.
WORLD RECORD BREAKING ATTEMPT 1: Get cracking with Carphone Warehouse!
Play your part in easing the burden of homelessness this Christmas, with Carphone Warehouse and Simon Community, as they try to break the world record for the highest number of simultaneous Christmas cracker pulls, this December. Carphone Warehouse wants to raise money for the Simon Community. This year, they are donating all profits from their annual in-store gift-wrap to the charity. That means a 50c donation for each and every gift that's wrapped. To bolster this generous Christmas campaign, Carphone Warehouse is also hoping to break the current World Record for the highest number of Christmas crackers pulled simultaneously. The record currently stands at 1570, and they are aiming to top that by achieving 1600 cracker pulls at once. If the record is broken, The Carphone Warehouse will donate a generous further amount to the Simon Community.
To help break the record, and play your part in supporting one of the city's most deserving charities, Carphone Warehouse wish to extend an invitation to all employees from every company in Dublin's Spencer Dock area and all our costumers to take part in this record breaking occasion.
On the day, there will be mince pies, mulled wine, and hot chocolate for everyone who takes part, in addition to Christmas carol sing-along with some very special Irish music acts.
Where? Hanover Quay, Spencer Dock, Dublin 2
When? December 2nd, 2011, at midday
