The Marvel Room returns to Brown Thomas
Tuesday, 1st November ~ Saturday, 24th December, 2011
Tuesday, 1st November is the date set for the re-opening of The Marvel Room, at Brown Thomas Dublin.
Taking residence on the first floor of the flagship store, The Marvel Room will showcase an array of perfect Christmas gifts for men, women and kids, and this year, for pampered pet pooches. Many items are either exclusive to Brown Thomas or have been produced especially for The Marvel Room by an impressive range of top international and Irish design houses. Importantly, exclusivity does not have to come with a high price tag and there are many fun and original items to suit all budgets.
The return of the Marvel Room, according to Shelly Corkery, Fashion Director of Brown Thomas, underscore’s the company’s vision to continually excite and surprise its customers. “Everything you will find in the Marvel Room is the result of our collaboration with design houses around the world; we are determined to bring the most exceptional Christmas gifts to our customers in Ireland.” says Shelly. “Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Alexander Mc Queen, Victoria Beckham, Lanvin, Tiffany & Co., Pauric Sweeney and Prada have all created rare collections exclusively for us”.
New to The Marvel Room this year is The Dog House where canine lovers will find a stunning collection of dog accessories from acclaimed designer Paul Smith including dog leads, collars and bowls, and from dog outfitters Mungo & Maud, stitch blankets, house dog beds and quilted dog coats.
Another addition to The Marvel Room is an installation space from some of the world’s most sought after visiting exhibitions including a Tiffany & Co. Master Craftsman who will
be demonstrating the creation of the Hollowware Collection (Nov 1st to Nov 3rd), the Hermes Paris mon ami scarf installation (Nov 17th – Nov 27th) and Chanel’s Cruise Showcase (Nov 28th – Dec 4th). The Marvel Room will also exclusively launch Lanvin’s new children’s collection from December 1st.
Limited edition and other covetable pieces will come from YSL, Tom Ford, Dunhill, Céline, Chloé, Victoria Beckham, Marni, Jo Malone, Dries Von Noten, Crème de la Mer, Michael Kors and Marc by Marc Jacobs, to name but a few.
There will also be plenty of novelty gifts and stocking fillers such as Paper Doll books, Christmas Headbands, USB keys, Lanvin notebooks and a selection of captivating books.
Popping up in the Brown Thomas Cork, Limerick and Galway stores is The Gift Box - a present shopping space that will house many limited edition pieces and beautiful Christmas gifts.
