The Arnotts 'Beta Fashion' Design Competition
Now yes, I realise that I should have posted about this sooner because the closing date is apparently the 31st of Jan (sorry everyone) but a lot of you may already know about this and if you didn't - well, you never know, perhaps if you ask nicely - and if enough people were late - there may be a time extension in place? Anyway, extension or no extension, this is a Design Competition for Emerging Irish Designers in Association with Arnotts and Betafashions.com
This season, in support of emerging Irish designers, Arnotts is pleased to announce a new design project in association with Beta Fashions. They are giving designers from around the country the opportunity to submit scarf design for a chance to win their Irish print designer competition and see their work produced and sold in Arnotts.
Spring Summer 2012 sees the launch of the Arnotts scarf salon and the welcome return of prints which adorned every surface on this seasons’ catwalks.
Also there is The ‘Postcards from Paradise’ competition which is launched with the aim of finding the very best emerging textile design talent in Ireland, giving them the opportunity to see their designs made reality and sold at Arnotts exclusively.
The theme for the competition is all things Floral, a subject that’s set to be a major trend this Spring/Summer. The epitomy of femininity, florals have always been a main stay in the world of textile design, and with nature providing them in such a wonderful array of shapes, sizes and colours, there is no end to the ways in which this enduring subject can be interpreted and represented.
SO.... All design entries must be submitted via www.betafashion.com by 31st January 2012 and the winners will then be announced on 8th February.
Votes on the designs entered can be cast via betafashion from project start through to 7th February 2012. You must register as a designer on betafashion in order to submit your design. Also “like” betafashion and ArnottsDublin on facebook in order to cast your votes on all designs.
