The 'Champagne of Cinema' - Moet & Chandon - sponsor the Green Room at the IFTA's
Yep, you gotta hand it to Moet & Chandon, when it comes to film, fashion, glamour and style, they always know the best events to be involved in - but then, as the 'champagne of cinema' and the worlds leading champagne house, Moet & Chandon are certainly no strangers to supporting film internationally. Having already partnered with some of film's most prestigious events including the BAFTA's and the Cannes Film Festival as well as being the official champagne of the Golden Globes for almost twenty years with celebrities including Kate Winslet, Charlize Theron, Brad Pitt, George Clooney and our very own Michael Fassbender among the many high profile names who attended this year’s event, the IFTA's are certainly going to be in very experienced company indeed! Moët & Chandon further cemented its role as the 'champagne of cinema' in 2009 when it became the exclusive champagne of the 81st Academy Awards (oh what we wouldnt give to be there) and announced Scarlett Johansson as its muse. Most recently Moët became the title sponsor of The British Independent Film Awards, which took place last December and was hosted Chris O’Dowd, who is the latest Irish actor to have brilliant success internationally. This incredible French winery, already so heavily associated with cinema, will most definitley be adding some serious extra sparkle, glamour and bubbles to the IFTA's as their official Green Room sponsor.
So, what lucky folk will be among those with access to the Moët & Chandon Green Room? Well, a host of Irish and international names from the world of film and television will be jetting into Dublin for the prestigious 9th Annual Irish Film & Television Awards on Saturday, 11th February and Moët & Chandon Green Room guests will include nominees and guest presenters on the night. Actors including Michael Fassbender, Brendan Gleeson, Martin Sheen, Chris O’Dowd, Maria Doyle Kennedy and Amy Huberman are all nominated for Irish Film & Television Awards in 2012 and will all be sipping on 'Moët & Chandon Brut Imperial' on the night.
Ooooh to be a fly on that wall... with a rather long straw!
Also, during the evening, Moët will invite A-list celebrities and guests to autograph a 15-litre Nebuchadnezzar bottle, which will be auctioned for charity by Moët & Chandon and the IFTAs following the event. This is a now legendary cinema tradition that Moët began decades ago at iconic film festivals and awards around the globe and stars who have previously participated include Morgan Freeman, Diane Kruger, Eva Longoria and Adrian Brody.
Dublin’s Convention Centre is the venue for this year’s Irish Film & Television Awards.
