Little Mix win the X Factor

This year we have been avoiding posting about the X Factor - mostly because the style wars of Danni and Cheryl were too much fun and Kelly and Tulisa were really just not hitting the mark in that department - but ALSO because it just didnt capture us in the same way this year. I personally was beginning to become VERY disillusioned with the whole thing until those last few weeks when Amelia Lily came back and rocked things up a little bit. The big finale at the Wembley Arena was certainly impressive. Westlife got a good reception - but what about Coldplay? Wow! They were amazing! ALSO, what about those glow rings? Did anyone notice that they all turned off at the same time as soon as Coldplay had finished their set? If anyone out there has ANY idea how that happened - perhaps they were only reacting to a certain light being shone on them or something, please do drop us an email! I'm intrigued!

But of course, overall, it was a tense moment in the Arena when Dermot finally revealed the winner. Normally I can call it, but this year, I genuinely didnt know. After waiting nervously for a long period of X Factor, heartbeat quickening music, Little Mix were eventually annouced as the winners and there followed a prolonged period of screaming and crying and whatnot, while Tulisa spent some time trying to manouvre herself in the blue fish tail nightmare that she was wearing - merely yet another dress that made it impossible for her to move in.

Regards the polls throughout the whole show, it appears that Little Mix really only grew in popularity following their version of Katy Perry's Alien and then furthermore after En Vogues 'Don't let Go'.  And who knew that little Janet had topped the poll vote for four weeks in a row throughout the show? Marcus, although never once in the bottom two, had never actually topped the polls once! Now THAT surprised me.

Oh well, its over for another year. It was a different X Factor this year. Honest reaction though? Bring back Simon guys!
