Top Designer Joanne Hynes to Mentor the Nokia Young Designers
The Nokia Young Fashion Designer Award - Ireland’s most prestigious fashion competition - is now in its seventh year and has proven to unearth some of Ireland’s best design talent. Last week, Nokia teamed up with leading Irish fashion and jewellery designer, Joanne Hynes, to host a breakfast for the 21 Nokia Young Designer Award 2010 finalists at the fashionable Morrison Hotel on Ormond Quay. Joanne, who will act as mentor to this year’s finalists taking part in the Nokia Young Fashion Designer Award 2010, spent the morning chatting to the design students about her career and answering questions from the floor covering everything from design elements to business advice.
At the mentor breakfast, Joanne also guided the finalists through some of the great fashion applications available on the Ovi Store (ovi.com) including Shoewawa, MyShoppingBuddy, Fashion Lipstick and Gossip Buzz, all of which are sure to keep them up to speed on everything fashion related.
