'Dress for Success' plan big PUBLIC launch Parade

FASHION PARADE OF 50 MODELS TO LAUNCH ‘DRESS FOR SUCCESS’ DUBLIN
Here's a reason to be in Dublin this week - it's the Dress for Success launch parade - the what I hear you ask? Well, 'Dress for Success', a global not-for-profit organisation in aid of disadvantaged women, will be launching their first Dublin branch this October.... and to celebrate, Dublin’s top modelling agencies have come together to offer 50 models, free of charge, for a fashion parade on Thursday 6th October 2011. Yep, with Dublin city as their catwalk, they will collect funds on a walk from Arnotts (DFS Dublin’s super partner) to Grafton Street and then out by private Luas to Dundrum Town Centre. So if you're out and about in the Capital that day, pop along and support the girls and this amazing cause.

Dress for Success is Dublin’s first ever Irish affiliate and is one of 114 affiliates in 12 countries. The charity has been brought to Ireland by RTE’s Off the Rails presenter, Sonya Lennon and offers a chance for the fashion industry to support disadvantaged women in the community. Sonya, a respected style expert, will be in charge of the Dublin office.

Dress for Success is an international non-profit charity founded in New York in 1997 designed to help women find jobs and remain in employment. The charity provides disadvantaged women with one suit for a job interview and a professional wardrobe once employment has commenced. The charity also provides a Professional Women’s Group, personal Business Mentors and a Career Centre offering career guidance and technology skills to give women more confidence in their job searches.

Date:                            Thursday, 6th October 2011

Time:                           11.00am
