End of the Road for The Stig?

After a highly publicised battle with the BBC who were keen to keep his identity under wraps, The Stig, the famously anonymous character from globally popular TV show "Top Gear" has been named as Ben Collins, a 35 year old racing driver from Bristol who was a stunt driver in the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace. 

He is actually the second "Stig" to have been uncovered - He took over the role from Perry McCarthy whose identity was uncovered in 2003.

Top Gear audiences have long since debated his identity and guesses have even included the likes of Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher!  Well the fans can stop guessing for the moment, but we have no doubt that a newly anonymous Stig will take over the reins soon and we look forward to it, because his anonymity adds to the mystery and excitement that is Top Gear!  Gentlemen, start your engines!
