At the recent Autumn Winter 09/10 Paris Couture week, Luigi gave his insights into creating the latest must have catwalk styles so here are some hot catwalk tips from LuigiGiorgio Armani Prive Couture (pictured left)
“I decided to give the girls a very uniform look by giving them all an edgy choppy dark crop; this involved cutting, colouring and styling wigs. The end result was a silhouette that matched the sophistication of the suited ladies with their double – breasted blazers where the emphasis naturally fell on the peaked shoulders"
Givenchy Couture (pictured left)
The Givenchy collection had a very gothic edge to it with lots of black - velvet, sheer hoods and veils so we decided to keep the hair very sleek. I mixed John Frieda Frizz Ease Original Serum with black makeup to create a high gloss finish paste this was then painted directly onto the hair with brushes. The high gloss finish of the hair complemented the sleek silhouette of the bodices worn over trousers and, of course, the glamour of the floor sweeping skirts.”

“To complement the fresh youthful looks at Valentino I decided to make the hair reflect the feathery detailing on the masks and dresses. The soft styling of the hair contrasted with the dark gothic undertones that were also present within this collection. After sweeping the hair back and loosely pinning into a soft chignon I feathered the edges and finished with John Frieda Frizz Ease Shape and Shine flexible hold hairspray”
