Some FABULOUS Hair Style Tips for AW from Pantene

So as part of Pantene Great Hair Days, Melissa Brown (hair stylist to the stars) has provided us with amazing step by step notes on how to achieve these gorgeous daytime looks - just in time for Autumn Winter. You will love this!

First up, it's the 'TEXTURED' look. See notes on how to achieve this below.
Whatever length your hair is, this is a great way to add definition and volume.
Prepare hair with Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect shampoo (RRP. €2.99 250ml). A top tip is to wet hair, apply shampoo and massage thoroughly, rinsing really well before applying  Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect conditioner (RRP. €2.99 200ml). Apply from mid-length to end, leave for ten minutes before rinsing thoroughly and then towel dry
1.  Prepare hair with Pantene Volumising mousse , making sure you evenly distribute through the hair. Next rough dry till lightly damp. If you are doing this at home, it’s best to put your head upside down. This way you get proper lift and have taken out the moisture before you start to blow dry.
2 Then blow dry until the hair is totally dry. You don’t have to worry about hair brushes, it’s all loose and natural as we want texture.
3 When the hair has been rough dried, using medium tongs , wrap medium sections of the hair around the barrel of the tong and hold for around ten seconds. Leave the curls to cool.
4 Once the curls have cooled, shake the curls out... and don’t be afraid to get in there and mess up the hair, using your hands to break the curls up
5 Finish with a Pantene soft light wax or serum scrunching into the hair, and finish off by going through the hair to separate it and make a fluffy, messy texture...
So there you have it, texture with definition and volume, thanks to Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect which gives colour vibrancy and shine

Next is the gorgeous 'SLEEK BUN' - notes on how to achieve this below.
2 Section by section, blow dry the hair using a round brush and dry by curling the hair around the brush until smooth (iron if you have thick wavy hair...)
3 Side-part the hair low and pony tail it to the side, fasten it into the neck just behind the ear...
4 Twist the ponytail wrapping the hair around the base of the pony tail and pin... for extra volume with fine hair, back comb the ponytail to smooth it and then pin... (a top cheat here is if you have frizzy hair, you can use a hair net to smooth the bun by wrapping it around the ponytail and then twisting and pining
5 Finish with Pantene Nourishing Shine spray or hair spray...
And there you have it, a sleek bun in five easy steps with a little cheat to help along the way

Now, for the gorgeous 'MESSY BUN' look -  and once again, achievable in five easy steps! Yaaay!

You don’t have to worry about hair brushes, it’s all loose and natural as we want texture.
2 Then blow dry until the hair is totally dry, using your hands to create texture
3 Then fasten into a ponytail high on the crown... it’s best to do this with your head upside down. Use your fingers only, no brush, to keep the texture in the hair. Unlike most styles, we don’t want smooth sides, we want to keep all the texture and bumpiness throughout
4 Backcomb the ponytail to create more texture, then wrap and pin hair around base of ponytail
5 Finish using fingers, backcomb edges and fluff to create messy sides, give texture and great definition. Finish with Pantene hair spray
And there you have it, the top messy bun

Now it's the turn of the 'SIDE PLAIT' - yes, notes below!
Ah the side plait is a great style for festivals and outdoor events.
To start, prepare your hair with Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect shampoo (RRP.

2 Using your fingers only, blow dry
3 Low side part the hair and pull hair to behind the ear
4 Really loosely plait with just the hands, no brushes and fasten at the end
5 Finish by pulling and messing the edges to give a soft dishevelled country look, then hair spray and finish with ribbon at the end to complete the look
And there it is, the side plait

My personal favourite, the HIGH PONYTAIL - This is how to achieve the classic ponytail in five easy steps.
To start, prepare your hair with Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect shampoo (RRP. €2.99 250ml). A top tip is to wet hair, apply shampoo and massage thoroughly, rinsing really well before applying Pantene Pro-V Colour Protect conditioner (RRP. €2.99 200ml). 2 Section by section blow dry hair with a soft bristle brush, iron if frizzy
3 Head back to position and then fasten pony just below crown in line with the ear
4 Get a piece of the ponytail and wrap the piece of hair around base of the pony tail and pin
5 Finish with Pantene hair spray and Pantene Nourishing Shine Spray to give yourself finish and a healthy shine
And there you have it, the classic ponytail
