The L'Oreal Professional Colour Trophy 2010...and the Winner Is..

It may have been raining and dull in Dublin City last night, but the brightest, most dazzling event on the Irish hairdressing circuit took place with a level of heat and intensity that you simply wouldn’t believe ...and trust me when I say there wasn’t a ‘perfectly coiffured’ hair out of place last night at the O’ Reilly Hall, UCD where some of Irelands top hairdressing talent and their models gathered to find out who were the winners of the much sought after ‘L’Oreal Professional Colour Trophy 2010’.

Glamorous compere on the night was none other than the effortlessly chic, Karen Koster from TV3 whose dazzling navy blue dress and gorgeous cloud-effect hairstyle (courtesy of Hession Hairdressing), were only topped by her professional and warm hosting of the event.  Incredible performances from the Creative & Artistic teams at Brown Sugar, South William St. and Hession Hairdressing Drumcondra brought the house down as people were wowed, not least by the high energy, fabulously choreographed dance routines but also by the incredibly artistic and imaginative styling, hair and makeup, all seemingly based on stories of wonderfully whimsical fantasy.

Overall winner on the night of the L’Oreal Professional Colour Trophy 2010 was the fantastic and most deserving,  House of Colour, Wellington Quay whose excitement was palpable as they clambered on stage to accept their trophy and we will have further reports and press images of the winners later today.

The atmosphere at this event was electric from beginning to end and being surrounded (literally) by the highest caliber of hairdressing in all it’s artistic and creative form, was actually rather a humbling experience. Combining International fashion looks with the standard of talent we have in this country has resulted in placing us firmly on the map in this arena and with news of European Hairdressing Championships coming to Ireland for the first time next year, this is most definitely an exciting time in Irish Hairdressing. Well done to L’Oreal for yet again producing an incredible event and for championing and recognizing the hardworking people of this industry.
