Get Jennifer Aniston's Sexy Summer Hair
How to achieve Jennifer Aniston’s sexy summer hair.
When Jennifer Aniston stepped out to launch her new perfume in Harrods last week, it wasn’t just her new fragrance that was the talking point but her lustrous locks. Sporting a new sexy summer hairdo, Jennifer who sparked a thousand copy cats in the 90s with ‘the Rachel’ is sure to do the same with her glossy honey toned highlights – the perfect look for summer.
Gary Kavanagh, creative director of Peter Mark and stylist to the stars, takes us through the steps of how to achieve Jen’s California babe hair.
1: Jen’s honey-toned highlights compliment her skin tone perfectly. Make an appointment at your local Peter Mark salon where a stylist will be best placed to advise on what tones and shades will suit you. And now with 20% off all hairdressing at Peter Mark you can get the A-list look for less.
2: The weather during the hot summer months can wreak havoc on your hair leaving it frizzy and dried out; this is why keeping your hair well conditioned is vital. To get a super smooth and glossy finish à la Jen, Kérastase’s Bain de Force shampoo (€19) and Ciment Anti-User conditioner (€22.50) for coloured hair breathes life back into weakened hair leaving it soft and sleek. For normal to dry hair Kérastase’s Band Satin no. 1 shampoo (€19) and Lait Vital conditioner (€22.50) are the perfect pair to keep hair vitalised and in tip top condition.
3: To give your hair the some bounce, add a little bit of Bumble’n’Bumble’s tonic lotion (€19) to damp hair. The tonic is made from herbs and vitamins, and will give your hair a little boost. Then spray some Bumble’n’Bumble thickening spray (€26.50) throughout your hair, this will add body without leaving the hair heavy and oily. Alternatively, there is a brilliant Volume Morphis in-salon treatment that will leave you with head turning hair. This only adds an extra €15 onto your blow dry and will give you the added oomph that every A list girl deserves.
4: For shape and style use a rounded brush and gently run a ghd through your hair. Always remember to prep your hair before using a heated styler. Comb a small amount Kérastase’s Ciment Thermic (€24.30) heat protector coloured hair or Neckter Thermic (€24.30) for normal hair, through damp hair before adding heat. Then spritz a little L’Oreal Elnett through your hair to set and you are good to go.
So there you have it ladies, we can be rockin' those sexy California locks before we know it!
