The Warehouse Xmas Press Day - I wish every day was Christmas Day!
I wish it could be Christmas every day.... well, with a collection like this one to look forward to! I popped into the Warehouse Press Day yesterday to check out their upcoming Xmas collection and it seems they have totally captured everything I love about Christmas (the sequins and beads) about Autumn Winter (the cosiness and textures) AND about making your wardrobe work with a whole host of gorgeous, beautifully embellished sepearates that will mixed and match with various other things already sitting in your wardrobe. For instance, I spied a whole array of gorgeous chiffon blouses and jersey style tops with heavily embellished shoulders or cuffs. Beaded skirts in rich jewel colours that can be used over and over again, gorgeous red jackets, mustard long sleeved tops, structured dresses with statement silver panels, blingy sequinned jackets that would go with ANYTHING YOU OWN, a pair of gold sequin shorts that are - well - not for the faint hearted...
and OH oh oh, not forgetting a gorgeous faux fur jacket that I fell, personally, head over heels in love with (me pictured wearing it here below). I really didn't want to take it off and it crossed my mind, would I be able to run down the stairs at the function area in the Residence and through the traffic in Stephens Green in the rain, in heels without (a) getting knocked down by a bus and (b) getting caught with the coat! But damn it my moral conscience got the better of me. I thought about that coat for the rest of the day.
