M&S AW11 Fashion Show - A Sneak Peak!

Once again all the stops were pulled out for a very atmospheric evening at the M&S AW Press Show, this time taking place in The Warehouse, a funky urban venue in Barrow St. Ireland's fashion elite congretated in the upstairs of the contemporary, stone facaded building overlooking Grand Canal Dock. Now known for ALWAYS drawing an impressively large crowd to their soirees, the M&S shows also serve as a social opportunity to meet up with fellow blogger and journo friends and see people you havent bumped into in a while! So thanks for the really fab evening M&S. The canapes and wine were very welcome indeed!

On the fashion front, the show, once again styled by Catherine Condell, was wonderfully produced and flawlessly modelled. There was a much bigger than usual focus on fashion for the more mature lady which was somewhat refreshing - but also kind of took over. I have to admit that in parts I felt the younger collections seemed lacking slightly in that 'edginess' that they had managed to encapsulate in the past and which I presume they are trying to convey with their Ryan and Rosie campaigns. Certain parts weren't as fash forward as I had hoped, but there were definitely some fantastic autumn winter choices in there - one or two amazing dresses and overall quite a few items which really stood out to me - these I will highlight for you when I get my hands on the catwalk shots, but in the meantime here is a snapshot video of the evening to give you an idea of what went down.
