Celebrity Handbags Under the Hammer

Celebrity Handbags Under the Hammer in Aid of Charity

The Irish Hospice Foundation,  in partnership with Boots, will host a celebrity handbag auction at Dublin’s Lost Society on South William Street on 27th October 2011, in aid of children with life-limiting conditions and their families. The event, entitled Heavenly Handbags, aims to raise much-needed funds for Children’s Hospice Homecare. Celebrity bags going under the hammer include donations from Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter, Rosanna Davison, TV presenters Claire Byrne, Lisa Cannon and rugby star Shane Horgan among others.

Presenter of RTE's Off the Rails, Sonya Lennon, will be MC on the night and an auctioneer will encourage attendees to bid on their favorite bag. The event is open to the public and all will get the chance to own a handbag originally possessed by one of Ireland's household names and bid on designer bags by Philip Treacy, Orla Kiely and Karen Millen who have all donated to the event. Guests can enjoy ‘Heavenly cocktails’, a Boots beauty zone, offering complimentary makeovers, beauty tips and a take home goodie bag from No7, Lancôme and Origins.

Tickets for the Heavenly Handbags cost €20 and are now on sale at Boots Stores on Grafton Street,  Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre, Dundrum Town Centre, Swords Pavillion and Donnybrook or call 01 77 80000 for more information.
