Stella McCartney reveals latest collection

Sir Paul McCartney was in the front row as daughter Stella showcased her latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.

The Beatles legend and his girlfriend Nancy Shevell proudly looked on as the designer wowed the audience with her simple but elegant designs from her Fall/Winter 2010 range in the French capital yesterday (08.03.10).

The show was dedicated to the late Alexander McQueen and Stella worked all the season's hottest trends - blacks, greys and block neon colours - into wearable designs.

As well as short skirts, the mother-of-three also included classic coats with modern twists, zip detailing and padding and trouser suits.

Grazia magazine's fashion editor said: "With this collection Stella proved that she is still has the knack of knowing what women want to wear, even before they do.

"McCartney nailed what the modern woman wants to wear right now - luxurious, beautifully-cut clothes that don't vie with their wearer for attention."

At the end of the show - which was also watched by Gwyneth Paltrow US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Thandie Newton and Beth Ditto - greeted fans and was met by a huge round of applause.
