George Clooney's mullet look
George Clooney claims he can pull off a "mullet".
The 'Up in the Air' actor - who is regularly voted one of the world's sexiest men - was sporting longer locks than usual at last night's Oscars (07.03.10) but isn't worried about them growing into an unfashionable style because he knows he can get away with it.
He quipped to US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "Yeah, I'm doing a movie where I have to grow my hair out a little bit. It's growing. It's an attractive look for an award show.
"I've had a mullet. I can rock a mullet, man."
The mullet is a hairstyle which is short at the front and sides, and long in the back and became popular in the 70s and 80s, before enjoying a brief return to favour in the 2000s as a retro look.
Although he is happy with his longer tresses, the 48-year-old heartthrob has previously spoken of his fear at going bald as he thinks it's essential to impressing the opposite sex.
George - who is currently dating Italian TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis - said: "Really what's not to like about me. How much time do we have? You know, I think it's really hair. It is about hair, mostly!"
