Zooey Deschanel's feminine style

Zooey Deschanel has a "feminine and whimsical" style.

The '(500) Days of Summer' actress - who married Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard last year - admits she isn't a follower of the latest fashion trends, but tries to make sure the clothes she buys fit in with her soft and girlie dress sense.

She said: "I don't really think too much about fashion. I try to go for what makes me look my best and hope someone is designing it! My style is pretty, soft, feminine and whimsical. My favourite designers are YSL, Chloe, Miu Miu and Karen Walker."

The 30-year-old beauty - who is the new face of Rimmel London cosmetics - also likes to be adventurous with her make-up and goes to a lot of effort to make sure her look is perfected.

She explained to Britain's InStyle magazine: "I love playing dress-up with make-up.

"I always take a peek in the mirror after I've been exercising to observe the colour my cheeks and lips naturally turn - then I try to match my blush and lip colour to that."
