Irish fashion gets the ‘stamp’ of approval!

On Thursday (15th July) An Post is launching a selection of stamps honouring key Irish designers - Paul Costelloe, Orla Kiely, Louise Kennedy, Lainey Keogh, John Rocha and Philip Treacy all get their own one! How very cool... In the era of facebook, MySpace, bebo, twitter and the likes it’s very rare I find myself in the situation of actually posting a letter, but this is certainly a reason to start back!!

The designers were chosen on the basis that they work under their own name, have their own label and have established an international reputation. The stamps were created by Ger Garland for An Post’s Prestige Booklets Collection and Prof Iseult McCarthy chaired the selection committee and I have to say.... me likey alot!!! I’m especially digging Philip Treacy’s one...

Chic posting... who knew!

Now... I must dig out some equally stylish letterhead!
