Inbetweener
The only way I can currently describe myself, is likened to Will, Neil and the rest of the E4 legends, in a sort of inbetween limbo state, both with regards fashion, and life in general. Just finished my thesis for my public relations masters, but awaiting results and graduation. Have got some work in the mean time, but as of yet no concrete plan-this scares and excites me! Academia is o.v.e.r, wow. Having been a student for four years, this is going to be weird. Just going to embrace the feeling of the unknown for now, and hope that everything will fall into place after a while, job, travel, who knows.
Although its September and calendar wise Summer has said farewell, it is just getting started for me and my classmates from the MA PR, after thesis and work, I am ready to enjoy myself with some nights out with friends and a foreign holiday with my bf. Since I was a workaholic during Summer 2011, my clothes were relegated to black and comfy. I did not get to experiment too much with the Summer trends. BUT, September weather is notoriously sunny, and I have a holiday to look forward to, so I am holding tight to my little dresses, slouchy vests, maxi skirts, kimono’s and shorts and can’t bring myself to invest in any cardi’s or scarfs just yet, (in saying that river island has some beauts on offer, rust colured wolly hat with big noddy-style bobble, I need).
Speaking of beauts, I have discovered some gems in the make up department this Summer, for pennies! Catrice, is a new purse friendly make up brand with an excellent nail polish selection, and two star buys, their gel eye liner pot and their make up illuminating primer, oh also I love their lipstick in the nude shade ‘natural’. Sweet make up for a lot less than the bigger brands. I am addicted to illuminating, and have to say, a little secret that my Mum found, is shimmering Lacura moisturizer, from Aldi?! My advise, invest in cheaper yet effective make-up (aside from foundation maybe) and splash the cash on clothes, well that’s my motto anyway.
