One Quirk Over the Line?

Quirky: A Fashion Do or a Fashion Don’t?

Riddle me this – how quirky is too quirky?  I’m a big fan of creative licence and artistic expression: that little quirky sumthin’ sumthin’ to make you stand out from the crowd. An effervescent scarf, an unorthodox necklace, a whimsical bag, deviant eye make-up…My favourite three items in my possession at the moment are my pink Lulu Guinness Lips Clutch, my NERD necklace and my Guns ‘N Roses knuckleduster.

Quirk Factor: 7

Quirk Factor: 6

They do generate a considerable amount of debate and discussion, but for me personally, they are the right side of quirk…edgy, directional and perhaps a little cheeky. My go-to’s for slightly left-of-centre stuff are Gailbardy and Tatty Devine Jewellery and Bitching and Junkfood accessories. But these guys toe the line of acceptable quirk. For example, I’m not a fan of a Pringle crisp as a necklace. Or Scrabble tile earrings. Chocolate bars as rings? No thanks. And hair follicle wigs in the shape of animals? Insane. Don’t even get me started on Panda Beanie Hats – they seriously ain’t my cup of tea. So where do you stand on this peculiar fashion phenomenon?  Would you wear the carcass of a rabbit as a necklace?  Human hair earrings? Where do you draw the quirk line?

Hmmm

More hmmmm

Actual human hair

Wearing your chocolate on your hand instead of your heart on your sleeve

Can't even begin to analyze

A personal NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
