Aloe Ferox Eye Slices - Home Eye Treatments
Considering how long I spend with my eyes 'glazing over' and 'drying out' in front of a computer screen and also straining while driving my car, my poor eyes, like the peepers of most busy women, take a lot of hardship. Sometimes at the end of a long day, my eyes can feel as hot and bothered as my poor over worked feet. So recently, when the Aloe Ferox Eye Slices were brought to my attention, I couldn't wait to try them out. A relaxing, cooling, soothing treatment for your eyes. They sounded fantastic!
So, last week, after a particularly hectic afternoon, I decided to take some time out to lie on my sofa and relax. I placed the eyeSlices® - which are rather like cold jello strips - on my eyes and I lay like that for about ten minutes. Combining the natural healing essence of aloe ferox (Aloe Vera's bigger, better cousin) to deliver instant but long lasting relief to all common eye problems, the eyeSlices claim to be a world first in cryogel technology - rather like a supercharged cucumber slice.
Althoguh I've only managed one session on the couch with my eyeSlices, I did find them to be beautifully relaxing and refreshing. Placed on closed eyes, eyeSlices® will apparently reduce the appearance of dark circles, fine lines and help irritated eyes. I can say for certain that they helped to soothe my tired, sore eyes and also that they, without doubt, helped to reduce that puffy, 'tired eyes' look that I have been perfecting so well of late, but in terms of dark circles and fine lines, I am guessing I might need to use them a few more times to see those results. It wont be a problem though, because the eyeSlices are re-usable up to 10 times. Worth noting is that I was left with a stringy residue around my eyes after removal of the eyeSlices but it's nothing that couldn't be quickly wiped off and to be fair, having to rinse is fairly normal after face masks and treatments so this really wasn't much of an issue.
There are four Aloe Ferox eyeSlices products to choose from depending on how your eyes are suffering.
Happy Eyes to soothe allergy irritated eyes (dust or pollen)
Legendary Eyes for puffiness and dark circles (stress, sinus problems or late nights)
In Vogue Eyes for tired and red eyes (long flights, computers and long hours at work)
Candy Eyes for signs of ageing (fine lines and wrinkles)
eyeSlices® are priced at €13.50 (10 uses) and are available from elected stockists nationwide. For more info on the eyeSlices see www.eyeslices.com or phone 071 9625840 for details of your nearest stockists.
