This is a must try range. But there are 30 products in the range and also treatments, called Rituals. Adore Salon & Clinic, Oliver Plunkett St, Cork not only stocks the products but also does the treatments and are experts in the Keraskin range. See www.adore.ie for further details.
7: Finally, Lisa Fitzpatrick lets us in on the Least Expensive Anti-Ageing Treatment around! “Omega 3! We were thrilled to highlight this because it is something we've been doing for a long time now (popping Omega 3 capsules that is). Lisa explains that “For healthy skin, the foods you put into your body are as important as the products you put on it!” and Yep – we’re inclined to agree! Lisa offers the following tips for healthier, more beautiful skin:
Drink plenty of fluids to re-hydrate your skin - try to drink 8 to 10 glasses of liquid per day (water, tea, herbal tea etc). This will help remove unwanted toxins from your system and keep your skin moist;
Drink alcohol sensibly. Too much alcohol can cause dehydration which will affect the skin. A high intake of alcohol can cause wrinkles as well as damage to our general health. Recommendations are for no more than 1-2 units a day for a woman and 2-3 units per day for a man;
Sun protection is vital – even in Ireland! Exposure to the sun can cause damage to the skin so always, always wear a sunscreen – many foundations now include SPF15;
A good night’s sleep rests the body and is important for good skin health.
Aoife advises that to get the recommended intake of omega 3, eat two portions of fish twice a week, one of which should be an oily fish. “Each serving should be 150g/5oz. Omega 3’s are also found in walnuts, seeds such as linseeds and pumpkin seeds, soya beans, tofu, dark green leafy vegetables, and omega 3 enriched foods such as omega 3 eggs and milk.”
